The Senior Tax Analyst will report to the Global Tax Accounting Manager. This role will help drive accurate financial reporting from FMC’s International operations and assist in federal and state tax compliance of FMC’s US operations. Additionally, the role will support work-flows for the timely and accurate recording and disclosure of FMC’s global income tax provision in its quarterly and annual financial statements reported externally to shareholders. A key focus will be leading the preparation of global income tax consolidation models and the execution of related controls. In addition, this position may support the domestic tax compliance function by liaising with FMC finance teams and FMC’s compliance tax service providers to ensure the timely and accurate submission of all domestic tax filings.

Major Responsibility Areas:


  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidation of income taxes.
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions for the global consolidated results of the Company.
  • Support the calculation of the quarterly and annual global effective tax rate.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax footnote disclosures to be included in the Company's SEC filings (10‑Q and 10-K) and other tax related disclosures.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to streamline tax accounting and compliance processes, partner with Finance and IT to establish and consistently improve the data management process in order to efficiently obtain accurate information required for global income tax accounting and compliance
  • Assist with the review of foreign entity provision reporting packages, including provision to return analysis.
  • Assist with the training of finance teams globally in applying ASC 740 rules to local accounting transactions.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual reconciliation of global legal entity income tax accounts.
  • Assist with ensuring execution and monitoring conformance of the Company’s income tax-related Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
  • Assist with the coordination and performance of foreign tax basis balance sheet and cumulative temporary difference analysis.
  • Support management in coordinating external financial statement and tax return audits related to income tax.
  • Support Tax Accounting Management in providing Global OneSource Tax Provision training and maintenance.
  • Proactively research and monitor issues and in-period changes in accounting for income taxes.
  • Remain informed with respect to tax law developments and documents which may have an impact on the Company.
  • Liaise with FMC finance teams and FMC’s external tax compliance service providers to ensure the timely and accurate submission of all domestic tax filings, as assigned.
  • Assist with federal and state audits including monitoring status, investigating issues, compiling support, and drafting formal responses to notices and audit inquiries, as assigned.

Required Education:


  • BA / BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA (whether pursuing or secured) or a graduate degree (e.g., MBA, MS) is preferred.


Required Education



  • 3-5 years working significantly on ASC 740 tax accounting.
  • ‘Big 4’ Tax background - working on multinational, US-SEC registrants.
  • Thorough understanding of SOX & other compliance subjext matter
  • Thorough understanding of financial statements and their meanings
  • Transfer Pricing / other Tax Planning knowledge a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word skills.
  • Experience with OneSource suite preferred.        
  • The candidate must be detail oriented, have the ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal guidance, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.
