    FMC Corporation is currently seeking a Process Engineer at our Wyoming, IL Plant. This is an excellent opportunity to join in our team in a key role. In this role, you will be able to utilize your knowledge and experience, expand your expertise and potentially grow your career.

    Responsibilities

    The Process Engineer is responsible for providing expert technical support to new and existing processes.  This position is also responsible for implementing improvement projects related to production, quality, and safety.  The position has overall responsibility for the Plant’s yearly capital plan and quality system.

    • Serve as a member of the plant manager’s leadership staff.
    • Support Plant objectives and goals.
    • Focus on long-term efficiencies for the plant operation and projects.
    • Enforce all plant rules, safety policies, and standards.
    • Manage the plant’s QA/QC function.
    • Lead plant commercialization of new products.
    • Lead or facilitate meetings in solving problems and improving performance with team members and additional (subject matter experts) resources as necessary.
    • Champion and lead improvement projects for the Plant to achieve cost improvement commitments, reinforce culture change, and encompass safety.
    • Develop cross-functional team members to solve day-to-day operational issues by increasing their troubleshooting skills.
    • Supports and directs Process Safety initiatives, including process safety incident investigations.
    • Lead plant’s Management of Change (MOC) processes and implementation of change at the site.

    Required Education

    • B.S. in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering required

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing plant required. 
    • ISO 9000 experience preferred. 
    • Functional/technical knowledge and/or experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Behavior based safety skills
    • Experienced in leading team-based work systems
    • Ability to work independently, collectively within a team environment, and be self-motivated in work habits.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills
    • Excellent listening, coaching and communication skills.
