The Label Coordinator performs various tasks to ensure all labels and packaging components are compliant with all regulations and available in time for production.       

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Serve as primary contact on label related change activities and affairs with Philadelphia label management function, Global Regulatory function, International label change resources and more generally with Philadelphia Global supply Chain team.
  2. Ensure labels are up-to-date, accurate, and procured in a timely manner.  Packaging, end-use label, export label, and booklet inventories are accurate.
  3. Update SAP Bill of Materials (BOM) and Firmed Planned Orders (FPO) to have accurate labels and packaging, both SKU and quantity.
  4. Provide labels  for packaging lines as required by production schedule.  In certain instances, labels will need to be applied to bottles/bags/boxes/cartons, those will then be provided to packaging lines as required by production schedule.
  5. Responsible for administration and reporting of inventory cycle counting for labels and packaging.
  6. Initiates, participates, and leads root cause analysis, corrective action initiatives, and improvement activities for label/packaging related quality failures.
  7. Replenish packaging supplies such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.
  8. Leads disposal efforts/plans for the write off and disposal of obsolete packaging supplies (bottles/lids/bags/boxes/cartons/labels).
  9. Responsible for plant compliance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG labeling requirement. Train and oversee plant operations (warehouse and operations) on related activities to these regulations.
  10. Assist the Lead Material Handler to manage packaging for the site, including packaging arrival and warehousing based on the production schedules, quantity on hand in-house, and shipments from outside vendors. 
  11. Assist the Lead Material Handler to administer sample packaging and labels supply for marketing programs and Sales Org functions
  12. Effectively interacts with plant departments such as purchasing, scheduling, and operations in order to meet plan goals

 Safety, Health, and Environment

 

  • Performs job duties in a manner that supports the belief that all jobs can be performed safely and that no job is worth doing that would risk the health, safety, or welfare of the plant employees or community.
  • Follows all applicable RCRA, SPCC, and Hazmat rules and procedures and instructs others to do the same.
  • Encouraged to read and ask questions about safety materials such as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures and instructs other personnel and\or visitors in the area to do the same.
  • Participates in scheduled and unscheduled safety meetings\huddles to raise safety awareness in work areas.
  • Participates in safety programs throughout the plant.
  • Participates in incident investigations identifying root causes and appropriate corrective action to improve safety and environmental performance in areas.

 Responsible Care Management Systems (RCMS)

  • Understands supports, participates and strictly adheres to site standards, policies and procedures relevant to safety, industrial hygiene, and security/CTPAT requirements and environmental.
  • Promotes the belief that all jobs can be performed safely and that no job is worth doing that would risk the health, safety, or welfare of the plant employees or community.

Required Education

Prefer 2 year college degree with 3-5 years experience in inventory management and/or warehousing or 8 years experience in the same areas
