Following the close of the DuPont transaction, FMC will be a significantly larger crop protection company with a broader manufacturing footprint, a more complex supply chain, and a greater need to track, report and analyze business performance in a timely, accurate manner. Beginning in 2018, we will launch an initiative to modernize our business processes and systems, which will include investment in a new SAP suite that will support all core business processes.


We have been operating with an SAP system that was installed in the late-1990s, and more recently we added a second SAP system from legacy Cheminova.  The DuPont acquisition presents us with a timely opportunity to modernize and consolidate multiple, inefficient IT systems into a single SAP platform that follows chemical industry best practices and can scale to support our company’s future growth.


This is an important project for FMC, requiring a dedicated team of employees and outside consultants who will work together to modernize every facet of our business processes, including Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, Regulatory & Compliance, Procurement, Enterprise Master Data, Reporting & Analytics, and other areas.  


The Business Transformation Lead has a broad and deep understanding of how a company operates end to end and the implication of processes and systems transformation. He/she is responsible for managing the overall program transformation, including change management, communications and training. The implementation scope will focus on the FMC Ag Solutions business, including FMC, legacy Cheminova and the Heritage DuPont acquired Crop Protection business. The Business Transformation Lead will be responsible for developing the strategy and framework to manage the overall business transformation and work closely with the Business Functional Leads and the program implementation partner to identify the impact of the transformation and develop the transformation strategies to drive business changes across process, organization and culture while delivering the business value of the program.


The Business Transformation Lead will play an integral role during the Strategic Alignment phase of the program when the strategic intent and business value are developed. He/she will work closely with the program PMO in the creation of the business value for the program, define KPIs, quantify the baseline and track value delivery.


This position is responsible for building and managing the Business Transformation team which will be composed by experts in each area and with global representation.


The Business Transformation Lead will need to effectively partner with all levels of the organization, provide thought leadership, lead and influence others, drive results, and provide expertise and guidance to monitor and manage the effectiveness of data, technology, process and strategic outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the business transformation strategy and framework

- Manage workstream project plan

- Manage program level transformation risks & issues and development of contingency plans

- Manage the Business Transformation team (provide direction and serve as the escalation path between the team and the PMO)

- Ensure flawless executing of the change management, communications and training plans

- Work closely with the Functional Workstreams to identify the business change and its implications to the company

- Work closely with the program PMO to create the business value of the program, define the KPIs, baseline and track value delivery

Required Education

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with 7to 10 years of relevant business change management experience
  • Project management experience in cross-functional systems implementations
  • Demonstrated skills in working effectively across business lines and partnering with other functions to meet common objectives
  • Previous employment with multinational companies in Agrochemical or related industries
  • Proficient in English
