The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler minimizing labor & material usage while maximizing equipment line time through efficient planning and group coordination in a multi-craft, self directed organization.
Create preventive and repair job plans for maintenance notifications or work orders from assigned plant areas, providing all necessary details (material required, drawings, special tool requirements, coordination with contractors, etc.) in job packages.
Collaborate with Maintenance scheduler and coordinator to support execution of planned work.
Collaborate with technicians, MIQA, maintenance and reliability engineers to develop task list for maintenance plans.
Serve as primary backup to scheduler or other planners during absences, vacations, etc.
Support the kitting of material for planned maintenance work.
Review all work orders for compliance with all Process Safety and safety requirements.
Actively support and collaborate with Maintenance Scheduler, Coordinator and other site personnel as needed to manage maintenance backlog in a way that meets the business needs.
Support site work management process (i.e. updating BOMs, improving job plans and task list, etc.)
Provide technical leadership where appropriate for specific repairs in the units.
Be a leader and a mentor to other technicians within the maintenance function.
Perform other maintenance related task and assignments as requested by maintenance leadership.
Monitor, and measure performance and cost effectiveness of planning & scheduling with the use of metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic technical math skills
Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical, electrical, ad instrument crafts
Demonstrated skill, knowledge, and understanding of plant design drawings (i.e.: Process & Instrument, Isometric, etc. drawings)
Demonstrated knowledge of Industrial maintenance safe work practices (i.e.: safety guidelines, changes of design, test authorizations)
Demonstrated knowledge of applicable material specification guidelines (i.e.: FMC, Regulatory)
Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Tools
Demonstrated ability to walk, stand, ascend and descend stairs and ladders, use hand tools, reach with arms and hands and lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
Demonstrated ability to use safety equipment
