Role Overview & Responsibilities:
This internship will be located at our FMC STINE Research Center in Newark, Delaware.
Bead milling is a key technology for the production of suspensions of pesticides. The objective of this internship is to set-up and develop operating instructions for a fully instrumented laboratory bead mill. Specifically, complete the set-up, write a data acquisition program, build a user interface for data transfer to Excel, write SOP, measure characteristic power number=f(Reynolds number) curve for the agitator, find the flow rate range of the mill, measure particle size-energy curves for 3-5 formulations and compare with data from a scalable mill.
