    This position will provide operational financial leadership for the GSS business and will be a member of GSS Leadership Team. Work closely with commercial and marketing leaders from different business and sub-units. Liaise with select country financials managers to consolidate global view.  Manage and oversee the GSS financial function, maintenance of internal controls consistent with Corporate and group practices to be an effective business partner to drive business results.


    Responsible for establishing an annual budget for a growing $100M strategic business unit of Ag Solutions. On-going tasks include reporting and control of expenses as well as early identification and accurate reporting of variances within established procedures. Responsible for the management of the monthly forecasting process, a critical process linking sales, accounts management, marketing, S&OP and global supply chain. This position will assist in driving profitable growth with the evaluation of alternatives and strategic initiatives, assist in the identification of opportunities, improve working capital performance, and eliminate non-value adding activities.



    • Plan and execute budget process for entire business with close collaboration with sub-unit leads
    • Prepare presentations for regular reviews – monthly letter, quarterly reviews; as well as for ad-hoc reviews – e.g. cash flow analysis, inventory analysis, etc.
    • Incentive planning – conduct analysis to support incentive targets and calculation of actual
    • Contribute to LT discussions on strategy and business operations
    • Liaise with financial resources from non-US countries under GSS management
    • Monthly business performance reporting, forecast, budgets and long-range plans
    • Interpret and analyze financial reports, including variance analyses within GSS to monitor performance and identify potential problems/opportunities
    • Financial planning, reporting and consolidation: Conduct financial analysis to support key business decisions for the business areas including investments, acquisitions, and alliances.
    • Monitor and report financial performance and explain variances to Budgets and strategic plans, and present consolidated reports to management
    • Identify and communicate relevant issues
    • Analysis of external/internal business trends and development of business impacts
    • Assure financial control and compliance with FMC accounting policies
    • Maintain SAP Financial system integrity and seek process improvements
    • Manage AFE review and provide financial analytical support
    • Setting business working capital targets and coordinating actions to achieve objectives
    • Special projects with an emphasis on supporting data gathering and analysis for negotiations, contract implementation, market opportunities and relationships with external organizations

    Required Education

    • Bachelor of Science in Finance or Accounting. MBA strongly preferred.


    • 6+ years financial experience in progressively responsible positions
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve business processes
    • Commercial and business savvy to influence leadership decisions
    • Good communication skills and strong team player
    • S. GAAP and SOX knowledge and/or experience including knowledge of SAP
    • Solid understanding of FMC accounting systems, processes and standards
    • Prior experience in an Agricultural Chemical Industry desired
    • Demonstrated ability to have an impact through leadership
    • Experience in people management
    • Strong analytical skills
