    Overview

     

    We are looking for a Communications Intern to work with our Corporate Communications team. Focus areas include management of internal communications channels, writing and content development, and general Communications project support.  This is a great opportunity to get exposed to a vibrant organization and to get relevant experience in several key areas of Corporate Communications.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Solicit, write and publish internal news articles that promote key company events and activities, and celebrate employee or business accomplishments
    • Regularly post and update content on FMC’s intranet and Corporate Communications site
    • Create and distribute weekly or bi-weekly email “brief”
    • Develop and publish content to site digital boards
    • Build and maintain content libraries of images, key facts and statistics, polls and surveys to be used for internal channels and social media
    • Provide overall support for a variety of projects and programs that are directed (or supported) by FMC Corporate Communications (e.g., Corporate Citizenship)

     

     

    Required Education

    • Two or more years of college education in Communications or related field

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Strong writing and editing skills
    • Proficiency in MS applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Basic knowledge of new media and web/digital based technologies
    • Ability to work with outside resources (PR agencies, creative agencies, etc.)
    • Team player, but can work independently with minimal direction
    • Knows how to prioritize competing demands and how to get things done in a fast-paced, fluid environment
    • Ability to develop creative ideas into executable plans
    • Ability to meet deadlines
    • Extremely well organized with a high bias for action
