    As FMC continues its transformation into a Tier One agricultural technology company, the product stewarding director will have the opportunity to build our product stewardship team and develop new programs across the globe. We are seeking an experienced product stewardship leader who will develop and lead the implementation of programs that ensure the responsible and ethical management of our products throughout their lifecycle – from R&D to final disposal.  FMC core values of safety, ethics and sustainability permeate everything we do.  The Global Director of Product Stewardship is a critical role in ensuring that we continue to live these core values.  This senior role reports to the Vice President of Global Procurement and Corporate Sustainability, who reports directly to the CEO.


    Major Responsibility Areas

    • Develop product stewardship roadmap and organizational structure.
    • Ensure the implementation of stewardship programs across our business through strong working relationships with leaders in R&D, regulatory, manufacturing, commercial, government affairs and sustainability.
    • Leverage FMC’s internal Product Stewardship Advisory Council to develop enhanced long-term strategies.
    • Foster relationships with external groups (governmental agencies, NGOs, industry groups) to stay abreast of best practices in the product stewardship area and thus drive excellence in FMC’s stewardship programs.
    • Develop stewardship training modules for our employees and in conjunction with our commercial organization to train farmers and effect positive behavioral change.
    • Investigate and evaluate adverse effects reported on FMC products to identify trends and make recommendations for label changes, as appropriate.  

    Required Education

    BS/MS in chemistry, biology, toxicology or a related field. PhD preferred



    • Significant work experience in international agriculture development with a focus on crop protection product stewardship
    • Track record of creating strong relationships with internal and external partners and key customers to develop and execute product stewardship activities
    • Ability to distill, summarize, and effectively communicate complex issues to broad audiences
    • Excellent communication and people skills, ability to work cross-functionally and to lead teams
    • BS/MS in chemistry, biology, toxicology or a related field. PhD preferred
    • Minimum of 10 years regulatory / registration experience in the agricultural industry and 5 years in a product stewardship role
