    Overview

The IT Audit Manager is responsible for managing Information Technologies audits to identify potential financial exposure, internal control deficiencies, operational inefficiencies and other areas of risk. This will be done through the use of internal resources and the management of FMC's IT audit co-sourcing partner. In the short term, the IT Audit Manager’s primarily responsibility is a long-term audit project associated with FMC’s business process transformation and SAP S/4HANA implementation, which is a multi-million-dollar process enhancement for FMC. The position is also responsible for managing Internal Audit's IT risk assessment in concert with multiple stakeholders inside and outside of FMC.

Specific responsibilities will include coordinating the IT audit work with local financial and IT management, supervising IT auditors, reviewing field work, and writing audit reports and memoranda. Coordination with the Company’s internal control team and external auditors is also required for SOX purposes. Good interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral, are required to effectively communicate audit issues to audit and location management.

The IT Audit Manager must be able to coordinate multiple projects and IT Auditors and be able to manage the audits of foreign operations. The position requires up to 30% combined domestic and foreign travel.

The position requires strong technical skills (specifically within the SAP S/4HANA environment), but will also require strong project management experience as well as well-developed interpersonal and communications skills. The successful candidate will be expected to exhibit the ability to translate and effectively communicate technical issues to non-technical colleagues at FMC.

    Responsibilities

    • The person must demonstrate a thorough understanding of IT control frameworks (e.g., COSO and COBIT) and possess effective written and oral communication skills.
    • Understand current IT risks and recommend audits and other projects to include in the annual audit plan, particularly related to the SAP S/4HANA implementation.
    • Manage primarily IT audits, some examples of which include site general IT controls audits, corporate networks, firewalls, and security, and systems using ISACA standards. The candidate should also be able to manage financial audits, as needed.
    • The IT Audit Manager will be responsible for identifying and evaluating business and technology risks and internal controls and working with other members of management, contributing to management's efforts to improve the internal control environment.
    • Manage pre-and post-implementation audits of significant system implementations, particularly the ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementation
    • The IT Audit Manage will also provide a consistent approach to defining audit scope, priorities, risk assessment, execution and testing of audits.
    • The position will be responsible for drafting audit reports and presenting the results of their audits to other members of management, including, on occasion, members of Senior Management in clear, concise, non-technical language.
    • The IT Audit Manager must possess the ability to build strong business relationships within the organization and earn the respect of other managers who should see the person as a source of knowledge regarding IT, internal controls and compliance.
    • The IT Audit Manager must have a collaborative, supportive work style. Though the role reports to the Internal Audit Director, the IT Audit Lead works closely with the Internal Audit Finance Manager to execute a successful audit plan and manage the audit department.
    • The IT Manager must possess strong project management skills, good understanding of business processes, identify as-is processes and to-be processes, and understand how to map businesses processes to the SAP environment.
    • The position will require the alignment of architecture diagrams and process flows to overall S/4HANA project plans to identify and remediate gaps, the review of existing system architecture and propose changes and optimizations, and the ability to assess functional specification / configuration documents.
