    Overview

    This role is responsible for supporting the logistics of FMC North America Crop and Global Specialty Solutions businesses by coordinating imports, exports and domestic freight. Additional responsibilities may include auditing import files, duty drawback responsibilities and freight payment.

    Responsibilities

     

    Domestic Freight

    • Work with Customer Service and Sales to ensure shipments are made to meet customer requirements
    • Support efforts to ensure inbound materials arrive to meet plant needs at the expected cost

     

    Freight Payment

    • Work with freight payment companies to ensure freight bills are paid on time
    • Timely resolution of rejects from freight payment provider

     

    Imported Shipments

    • Update SAP with information on import shipments
    • Create and/or transmits documents to 3PL as needed
    • Verify accuracy of Importer Security Filing (ISF) form
    • Receive delivery orders and verifies for accuracy
    • Tracking imports to their final destination
    • Audit files of all imported shipments to ensure compliance and accuracy of data and completeness of the files
    • Support duty drawback efforts

     

    Export Shipments

    • Work with Procurement to ensure rates are established for shipments
    • Support requirements of sales region to ensure shipments are made to meet business needs

     

    Active Ingredients:

    • Coordinate the movement of active ingredients (AI) from AI warehouses to production locations as well as for export
    • Performs SAP transactions to facilitate the re-label process for exports
    • Prepare paperwork and pick batches in SAP and communicate with foreign customer service reps and planners on AI availability and ready dates for orders
    • Reconcile inventory at month end between SAP and warehouse book records

    Required Education

     

    • Four-year Bachelor’s degree business, supply chain or related field from an accredited college or university

     

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years previous experience in the Logistics field working with imports/exports or freight
    • Experience in a chemical manufacturing or regulated environment preferred
    • Previous experience tracking inventories or performing audits would be helpful
    • Proficiency with SAP
    • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products
    • Continuous improvement mindset
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and solve problems
