    Overview

    Responsible for the safe and efficient day to day operations of E&I technicians, execute planned work orders in a timely fashion and adjust the schedule based on short interval controls by performing the following duties.

    Responsibilities

    EHS

    • Responsible to ensure safe operation of the processes
    • Act as responsible supervisor in the SIMS process.
    • Respond to incidents, perform investigations.
    • Perform daily safety inspections.
    • Ensure employees adhere to training requirements.
    • Serves as a site-wide Key Safety Procedure auditor and documents deficiencies in the implementation of those procedures.
    • Ensures operator compliance with all required regulatory and safety training.
    • Drives the daily safety process.
    • Acts as responsible supervisor in SIMS process.
    • Intervenes when unsafe acts or conditions are encountered.
    • Responsible to enter and track MOC’s to completion.
    • Responsible for scheduling personnel to attend weekly PULSE meetings.

     

    Business Support

    • Accountable to execute maintenance plan as developed and planned on a day by day basis.
    • Responsible to share technical input and know-how and experience with the Team.
    • Accountable to maintain scheduled calibrations of ISO related equipment.
    • Ensure close communications and coordination of team activities with other site functions and departments.
    • Manage team productivity to established work and capacity standards to achieve weekly and daily plans.
    • Responsible to be available to quality auditors and customer visits.
    • Set and communicate shift SIC goals and targets to achieve daily plans.
    • Ensure close communication and coordination of team activities with other site functions and departments.
    • Responsible to participate in employee interviews and selection.

     

    People

    • Accountable for performance development of crew to include; discipline/corrective (attendance, behavior, etc.) up to suspensions with pay, cross training, evaluations, and promotions.
    • Coordinate training and development activities for staff.
    • Responsible to ensure employees follow SOP’s.
    • Responsible for effective communication to and from the technicians and Scheduler to ensure customer expectations are met.
    • Manage vacation schedule and call out processes for overtime and absenteeism.
    • Formally appraise the performance and behavior of direct reports and provide appropriate feedback on both a continuous informal and formal basis.
    • Responsible for recognizing the need to reward employees.
    • Responsible to addressing complaints, resolving problems and in some cases discipline employees.
    • Monitors and maintains training files and records for his/her area of responsibility.

    Required Education

    Minimum 2-year degree with 5 years manufacturing experience and at least 2 years management experience in assignments of increasing responsibility

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resource systems, Manufacturing software, Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software, and Six Sigma principles. Management experience must include exposure to production and process functions.
