  • Company Overview

For over twenty years, FMC Lithium has been innovating, manufacturing and delivering products and technologies to power a cleaner, healthier and more mobile world. We have grown as a leader in the industry through partnership with our customers, thriving in a marketplace full of challenges and opportunities. The success we’ve achieved follows a simple but critical promise to our customers: provide consistent, high quality products, ensure security of supply, and anticipate solutions for future needs; all backed by a deep expertise in material science.

This expertise and the unprecedented growth in the market made it clear that FMC Lithium is ready to separate into an independently traded company by the end of 2018. The FMC Lithium business is poised to stand on its own with leaders and talent that will drive the organization to greater opportunities and accomplishments. We are investing in our future and our customers’ future, and our best is yet to come.

    Overview

FMC Lithium is a fully integrated lithium company, with a long, proven history of producing lithium compounds for use in applications that have specific performance requirements, including battery-grade lithium hydroxide for use in high performance lithium-ion batteries. We also supply butyllithium, which is used as a synthesizer in the production of polymers and pharmaceutical products, as well as a range of specialty lithium compounds including high purity lithium metal, which is used in the production of lightweight materials for aerospace applications and non-rechargeable batteries. As a part of FMC Corporation, we have been extracting lithium brine at our Argentina operations for more than 20 years, and have been producing lithium compounds for over 60 years. We are one of a few lithium compound producers with global manufacturing capabilities, and do business in the United States, China, the United Kingdom, India and South America.

This expertise and the unprecedented growth in the market made it clear that FMC Lithium is ready to separate into an independently traded company, with an initial public offering anticipated in the fourth quarter of 2018. Upon IPO, we will be renamed Livent Corporation. More information about us and the IPO is available at https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1742924/000119312518258208/d603292ds1.htm
