    Overview

    The primary purpose of this position is to provide financial reporting and analysis to support AgS Global Operations. The reporting and analysis will include consolidating monthly performance results, quarterly forecast, quarterly results, annual budget for all entities under global operations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide analysis and explanation of financial results. Qualified candidate should have the ability to: 1) provide in-depth explanation of results, 2) synthesize data to identify key business drivers and 3) coordinate analysis across different locations.  Assess the quality of inputs, generate insightful outputs and communicate effectively to decision makers.
    • Monitor and report financial performance, explain variances to budgets, forecasts and prior year. Prepare and present consolidated reports to management as appropriate. Understand root causes cause of variances, work proactively with the different locations to institutionalize improvements and remedy unfavorable performance. This includes creating and maintaining spreadsheets to manage data and consolidation.
    • Prepare the monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages as well as prepare presentations for budgets and forecasts.
    • Prepare financial presentations for reviews with Division President
    • Seek opportunities to improve the analysis of monthly financial and operational results
    • Providing business data and analysis to Global Operations Management Team
    • Ad hoc projects
    • Support SOX and internal audit
    • The position delivers analysis as part of the finance processes, gathering, compiling, analyzing, and summarizing data linking financial results to operational performance drivers.
    • Monitor and consolidating global capital spending
    • This position reports to the FP&A Manager.

    Required Education

    Graduated from a Business School or Equivalent with a Major in Finance, accounting or other relevant field.

    MBA – Finance concentration preferred

    Qualifications

    • Rigorous person with a high level of accuracy
    • Proficient in SAP, Power Point, Word, aptitude for learning financial information systems required
    • Advanced level of proficiency in Excel, including linking of multiple files and downloading of data from other systems.
    • 3-5 years Finance/Accounting experience
    • Progressive Financial Analysis experience in a manufacturing/corporate environment
    • Demonstrated process focused and organized work style
    • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements
    • Experience with financial planning and forecasting
    • This position requires someone who is able to work independently, can work effectively under tight deadlines and manages multiple competing priorities.
    • Teamwork and influencing skills are also important given that he/she is frequently requesting data from operating business units and leveraging relationships is sometimes needed to counter resistance and meet deadlines.
    • An analytical thinking style is needed so the individual can perform and present effective analyses, understand business issues, and challenge results.
    • Creativity and resourcefulness are important attributes since the individual will need to look for ways to access data individually from multiple sources and will be expected to continually seek out ways to improve current work streams.
