Following the close of the DuPont transaction, FMC will be a significantly larger crop protection company with a broader manufacturing footprint, a more complex supply chain, and a greater need to track, report and analyze business performance in a timely, accurate manner. Beginning in 2018, we will launch an initiative to modernize our business processes and systems, which will include investment in a new SAP suite that will support all core business processes.
We have been operating with an SAP system that was installed in the late-1990s, and more recently we added a second SAP system from legacy Cheminova. The DuPont acquisition presents us with a timely opportunity to modernize and consolidate multiple, inefficient IT systems into a single SAP platform that follows chemical industry best practices and can scale to support our company’s future growth.
This is an important project for FMC, requiring a dedicated team of employees and outside consultants who will work together to modernize every facet of our business processes, including Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, Regulatory & Compliance, Procurement, Enterprise Master Data, Reporting & Analytics, and other areas.
The Senior Project Manager is a member of the program PMO team and has a broad and deep understanding of project management using agile methodology. He/she will be responsible for providing project management leadership for the program.
This role will manage the project governance framework and be accountable for ensuring program governance tools and processes are operating as implemented. This includes managing the risk and issue management processes for the program, assisting the workplan validation and optimization efforts and providing expertise to workstreams in taking issues to resolution.
The Senior Project Manager has a leadership presence, can effectively partner with all levels of the program team, provide project management expertise, lead and influence others, drive results, and monitor and manage the effectiveness of the program management.
- Drive adoption of program governance through the PMO team
- Maintain and/or optimize the project plans
- Drive towards issue/risk identification escalation and resolution
- Identify critical decisions needed and drive discussions towards agreements
Bachelor degree with 5+ years of experience or MBA/MS with 3+ years of PM experience
- Project management experience in cross-functional systems implementations
- Demonstrated skills in working effectively across business lines and partnering to meet common objectives
- Previous employment with multinational companies in Agrochemical or related industries
- Proficient in English
- Able to manage a detailed project plan and, at the same time, capable of handling complex conversations with leaders of the organization
