    Overview

    The Field Sales Intern is designed to provide an opportunity for development of territory management within Western Canada, and selling skills for a future sales position.  The purpose of the Field Sales Intern position is to provide sales, service and research support to region.  The intern will make retail and grower calls as determined by the District Sales Manager and assigned territory Account Manager.  

      

    Responsibilities

     

    Sell and Service FMC Products/Programs:

    • Sell designated products and marketing programs as prioritized by the Sales Manager/Account Manager to retailers and growers.
    • Provide service to the region by assisting with plot tours and other selling events.
    • Assist the region with customer service calls assigned.
    • Provide service to growers such as scouting fields helping the retailer sell to their grower customers.
    • Collect feedback from assigned growers using a FMC product for the first time.
    • Note: Additional responsibilities may be added to the list as you move through the internship.

    Complete Marketing Research Project:

    • Identify a research project as assigned by the region, gather the information, analyze and compile into a report to be presented to FMC management. 

    Administration:

    • Complete administrative task accurately and in a timely manner; expense reports, weekly reports and other tasks assigned to assist the region.

    Required Education

    Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program or master’s program, preferably in Agriculture or Business.

    Qualifications

    • Strong oral, written, interpersonal communication and listening skills.
    • Must be a highly motivated team player with strong leadership skills.
