He/she will be recognized as a leader in the organization and acts as a trusted advisor to senior management and business partner in areas of expertise.

    Business Role Overview

     

    The Global Active Ingredient (AI) Finance Manager will be an expert in providing and driving excellence in project analysis/long-term financial budgeting forecasting and recommend improvements to business processes. He/she will be recognized as a leader in the organization and acts as a trusted advisor to senior management and business partner in areas of expertise.

     

                                                                           

     External Overview:

    • The Global Active Ingredient (AI) Finance Manager is responsible for leading all Manufacturing Finance activities related to AI sites. This position will report to the Global Manufacturing Finance Director and play a key role in overseeing AI site finance operations as manufacturing finance transitions to a global operating model. Key attributes of this role include:
    • Significant experience in managing operations finance and product costing for plants in the chemical or related industry (pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, etc.)
    • Experience with all aspects of financial reporting cycle including development of annual budget, monthly forecast, management reporting, financial projections and operations expense management required
    • Significant experience in people management on a global scale.
    • Strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of standard costing methodologies
    • Ability to enable and provide information to senior leaders in support of business decisions
    • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact, impact and influence at all levels cross functionally (locally and remote)
    • Ability to work in culturally diverse, global teams with many levels of professional personnel across multiple functions.
    • Ability and willingness for business travel (domestically and internationally) at 25%

       

      Responsibilities:

      • Implement consistent finance standards and efficient methods of working across manufacturing plan
      • Drive adoption of standard costing methodology across manufacturing sites
      • Align cost plan with Sales/Demand/Production plans
      • Review and finalize AI site operating budgets – sign off on product costs and total site budgets.
      • Lead the AI manufacturing sites forecast and management reporting process
      • Draw insights and identify and lead strategic initiatives (ex: cost saving initiatives) based on cost analysis and trends
      • Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for operations finance for manufacturing sites. Monitor and drive initiatives to improve KPIs across manufacturing plants
      • Drive further standardization and the implementation of process changes globally across manufacturing sites including adoption of upgrade SAP to S/4 HANA
      • Regularly partner and communicate with finance and operations leadership to report on progress of strategic initiatives and established targets
      • Lead, develop and mentor a high performing team that partners with the business to provide finance insights that improve business outcomes reactively support a robust internal control environment

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Required Education

    •  Undergraduate degree in Finance / Accounting or other relevant field
    •  Preferred: Post-graduate degree with a Finance concentration

     

    Qualifications

     

     

    Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of experience in leading global teams within the Finance or Accounting disciplines
    • Diversified Industrial Products/Manufacturing industry experience required
    • Global experience in finance leadership roles managing supervisor/manager level reports Strong financial background and systems orientation (such as SAP, Hyperion)
