    Overview

    FMC is looking for a highly-motivated individual to work in our Global Specialty Solutions (GSS) Group in our Philadelphia, Corporate headquarters. The Project Manager develops and manages project timelines and resource and budgetary requirements for the full portfolio of GSS projects. This is an office-based position that is responsible for ensuring projects meet business goals and timelines. The incumbent will have professional experience collaborating in a team environment on product development projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to build consensus and affect change without positional authority to drive sound decisions. The Project Manager should be comfortable communicating with and taking input from a variety of people, including management. They will embody the ability to manage competing priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, utilize exceptional analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, including conflict resolution.

    Responsibilities

    • Effectively execute management-approved strategic plans for Global Specialty Solutions projects; this includes coordination of projects for both new and existing products to ensure project milestones and success metrics are met within agreed timeframes.
    • Works with project leads to ensure project data/metrics are accurate and up-to-date, minimizing project timelines and costs, and maximizing project value. Ensures all stage gate criteria are met for each project.
    • Demonstrates capability to manage platform project teams (or projects of equivalent scope).
    • Directs the actions and makes recommendations necessary to deliver on all project milestones and maximize project value.
    • Uses leadership capabilities to obtain support and resources from others outside of direct reporting structure or project team to complete complex activities within project team.
    • Monitors team dynamics to ensure optimal team performance and take appropriate action to correct problems within a team stemming from miscommunication, differences of opinion, misaligned objectives, inexperience, etc.
    • Establishes and aligns the team to meet goals, timelines, and success criteria
    • Demonstrates courage, inquisitiveness and challenges appropriately to probe the assumptions, call out the issues and opportunities, and redirect the team.
    • Deals with the ambiguity of innovation and leads the team through it.
    • Imparts in the team a drive to create value for the product end-user.
    • Throughout life of product development cycle, remains aware of customer needs and new competitive products, and the related impact on Company project/product acceptance

    Required Education

    • Bachelor's Degree in science or related field

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of project management and commercial product development experience
    • Working knowledge of process related to regulatory submissions
    • PDMA or PMP certification preferred
    • Experience managing projects that meet criteria of full development timelines, protocols,.
