    Overview

    Develop and drive implementation of Asia Pacific (AP) strategies and key projects (aligned with Country, Region and Global strategies) to optimize sales and earnings of assigned product groups.

    Responsibilities

    • Clearly define regional strategy, strategic pricing, positioning and post patent planning for assigned products and markets with business guidance from the Regional Marketing Director and coordination and alignment with GPM (Global Portfolio Managers). Primary focus on the 2-5 years horizon (including the vision)
    • Manage assigned Product Group Life Cycle for AP by applying Marketing Best Practices (Project management, Pricing, Positioning, Segmentation, Brand communications, MR, Strategic Marketing Plans etc.) and identify new Business Opportunities
    • Lead and coach marketing competency development in the country marketing teams
    • Coordinate with global leadership to align the AP with the overall global strategy, facilitating timely approvals and maximizing resource allocations for country teams
    • Lead the strategy development, opportunity assessment, positioning, etc. for new pipeline and commercialization projects in assigned assets
    • Work closely with Country teams/functions, Regional and Global leadership to support and ensure effective execution of strategic plans and projects in order to deliver financial objectives for assigned assets
    • Support development/implementation of AP strategic plans and Long-Range Planning (LRP) process for assigned assets
    • Develop 3rd party relationships strategy (close coordination with Global and Country teams) and ensure execution to drive commercial success, with a focus on post patent strategies
    • Participate in regional project prioritization process, supporting the S&OP process
    • Ensure Product Stewardship, Branding and Corporate policies/principles are followed in AP Region for respective portfolio responsibility       
    • For assigned portfolio track business performance vs. versus plan (Prices, Volumes vs. Budget, Project Stage Gate reviews) investigate any significant deviations and recommend corrective action as necessary
    • Other regional marketing responsibilities that may be assigned

    Required Education

    • Tertiary qualifications in marketing with significant (>10 years) experience in Agriculture/Horticulture industry in areas of crop protection marketing

    • Good understanding of crop protection industry, technical fundamental of products and relating processes
    • Innovative & Creative with excellent interpersonal and influencing skill
    • Mature, Self-disciplined, demonstrated strong leadership in leading through influence
    • Results-oriented with the ability to build team & network / collaborate effectively with others
    • Time management & organization:
      • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time from strategy right to implementation
      • Self starter and resourceful
      • Delivers commitments with quality and timeliness
